About this trip
This is a 12-day cycling route from Saigon to Angkor Wat, crossing from Vietnam into Cambodia mostly under your own pedal power. You start in the flat, waterlogged landscapes of the Mekong Delta before a boat crossing takes you and your bike into Cambodia.
From there the roads quieten down, running through backroads and jungle trails as you make your way toward Siem Reap. The pace lets you actually meet people along the way — villagers, market stalls, roadside cafes — rather than just passing through.
It ends where it should: at the temples of Angkor, reached the slow way, after days of getting a feel for the countryside on either side of the border.

- Fully guided throughout, with some personalisation built in
- Available over Christmas and New Year for those wanting to spend the holidays on the road
Worth it if you're a confident cyclist keen to experience rural Vietnam and Cambodia authentically. Think twice if you prefer luxury hotels or need zero physical exertion.
- Three guides per group—front, rear mechanic, and photographer—with local leads for each country ensure seamless logistics and genuine cultural insight.
- Daily rides of 30–70 km on varied terrain with flexible pacing; support van available for those who want to skip sections.
- Hotels are clean and adequate but mid-range, not high-end; expect functional comfort, not luxury after long cycling days.
- Guides stop at locals' homes for meals and navigate you to cultural hotspots in each village that standard tours skip entirely.
