About this trip
Six days split between two of Scotland's most distinctive cities, with a scenic train ride linking them. You start in Edinburgh, working through its history and streets at your own pace, then head north to Inverness as a base for the Highlands.
This is self-guided, so there's no group to keep up with — you set the schedule each day, whether that's castles and museums or just wandering. Loch Ness is on the doorstep once you reach Inverness, along with easy walks by the River Ness.
A relaxed way to see contrasting sides of Scotland — capital city culture, then Highland scenery — without the hassle of driving.
