About this trip
Twelve days across Scotland and Ireland, taking in Edinburgh, Inverness and Glasgow before crossing to Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway. Expect a mix of city time and countryside, castles and coastline, without a single long guided narrative running through it.
This is a partially guided trip, which means each day's excursion comes with its own local guide and group. You'll meet different people as you go rather than travelling with one fixed group throughout.
Easy-paced and suited to families or anyone wanting a broad overview of both countries in one go, including over the Christmas and New Year period.
What you'll do
- Explore Edinburgh's old town and castle
- Take in Highland scenery around Inverness
- Spend time in Glasgow before heading to Ireland
- See Dublin's city sights
- Visit Cork, Limerick and Galway
- Take in Irish countryside and coastline along the way
- Partially guided — you'll have a different guide and group for each day tour, not one guide for the whole trip
- Covers two countries and seven-plus stops in 12 days, so it moves along at a fair clip despite being rated easy
- Runs over Christmas and New Year, so book with that timing in mind
