About this trip
Twelve days moving through Thailand's main draws, from Bangkok's temples to the beaches of Phuket, with history, culture and jungle worked in along the way.
You start in Bangkok taking in the city's landmark sites, then head to Kanchanaburi to learn about its WWII history and walk out to waterfalls. From there it's on to the ruined former capital of Ayutthaya, then north to Chiang Mai for a deeper look at Thai culture and an ethical elephant encounter, before finishing on Phuket's shores.
It's a broad sweep of the country rather than a deep dive into any one place, built for a group setting with an easy pace and some sections run independently.
