About this trip
Twelve days across Thailand, moving from Bangkok's temples through hill country to Phuket's coast. It's built to cover a lot of ground without feeling rushed, mixing history, nature and downtime.
You start in Bangkok with the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, then head to Kanchanaburi for its World War II history and the waterfalls of Erawan National Park. From there it's on to the ancient temples of Ayutthaya and the Bang Pa-In Summer Palace, followed by an overnight train up to Chiang Mai for hill scenery, Karen hill tribe visits and more temples.
The trip winds down with a day spent with elephants before finishing on Phuket's beaches, giving you a proper stretch of relaxation after the culture and travel.
