Northern Tanzania Safari. (Accommodation & Transport are Included.)

Moshi → Lake Manyara 7 days Up to 10

About this trip

Seven days across Tanzania's Northern Circuit, covering the four parks most people picture when they think safari: Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire. You travel in a custom 4x4 with an open roof, sharing with a maximum of six people so everyone gets a window seat.

The parks each bring something different — Serengeti's open plains and migration routes, Tarangire's elephant herds, Ngorongoro's crater packed with wildlife, and Manyara's tree-climbing lions and varied habitat. English-speaking guides handle the driving and the details on what you're looking at.

Accommodation, meals and park entry fees are all included, so the days are largely about being out in the vehicle and at camp rather than logistics.

What you'll do

  • Descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a concentration of wildlife in a compact area
  • Track the Serengeti's migration routes and open plains
  • Spot elephant herds in Tarangire, home to thousands
  • Look out for Lake Manyara's tree-climbing lions
  • Ride in a 4x4 with an open roof for unobstructed game viewing
  • Learn from English-speaking guides with local park knowledge
Good to know
  • Small groups — maximum six travellers per vehicle, all with window seats
  • A seat-in-vehicle safari, so days are spent largely in the 4x4 moving between parks and viewing points
What travellers actually say

Worth it if you want guides who genuinely find wildlife and lodges that feel like a home base. Think twice if you need reliable wifi or prefer larger group dynamics.

  • Guides consistently spot animals within minutes and locate hard-to-find species like leopards and rhinos reliably.
  • Mix of luxury (Serengeti Safari Lodge) and simple but clean accommodation, with some lodges positioned inside parks.
  • Internet connectivity is patchy at some hotels, though daytime is spent at sites rather than checking email.
  • Serengeti is the standout; Ngorongoro crater and Tarangire offer good variety but Serengeti steals the show.
