About this trip
This four-day private tour takes you from Baku to Sheki, a city tucked into the southern slopes of the Greater Caucasus that has been lived in for over 2700 years. Sheki's old town still carries its 16th to 19th century buildings, and its history as a silk road trading centre is written into its streets and architecture.
You will spend time walking through Sheki in the evening, when the old streets feel most alive, and get a sense of daily life alongside the historic sights. The region's mild climate also makes it good fruit and vegetable country, which shows up in the local cooking.
With a private guide for parts of the trip, the pace is yours to set, whether that means lingering over the architecture or taking longer at meals to try the regional dishes.
