About this trip
Thirteen days moving through Athens and five Cycladic islands — Syros, Paros, Naxos, Ios and Santorini — with two nights in each place. Ferries and transfers between islands are arranged for you, so the logistics are handled and the days are yours to fill.
This is self-guided rather than led — no group, no set itinerary beyond the route and the hotel bookings. You decide each day whether that means a beach, a village wander, or doing nothing much at all.
One fixed event breaks up the free time: a sunset cruise in Santorini. Otherwise expect a loose rhythm of ferries, breakfasts, and time to explore each island at your own pace.
What you'll do
- Sunset cruise off Santorini
- Island-hop by ferry through Syros, Paros, Naxos and Ios
- Time in Athens before heading out to the islands
- Beach days on each of the five islands
- Explore the villages of the Cyclades independently
- Self-guided — you're not travelling with a group or a guide, just following a pre-set route
- Base changes every two nights across six stops, so it suits people who like a bit of movement over settling in one spot
- Accommodation is standard hotels, breakfast included; other meals are on you
Cheapest live departure per day, in £, recorded by our tracker since 24 Jul. Never a brochure “was” price.

Worth it if you want to tick off multiple Greek islands efficiently with solid hotels. Think twice if you need accommodation walkable to town amenities.
- Gotta hotel in Naxos stood out as exceptionally friendly; port transfers were reliably excellent throughout.
- Paros accommodation was isolated 1.6km from town along dark, windy roads with no nearby facilities.
- Covers a genuinely impressive range of Greek islands and beaches in one trip.
- Late-trip heat can be intense; pack accordingly and stay hydrated.
