About this trip
Five days based in Tbilisi, with a guide who knows the city well enough to move past the obvious sights and into its everyday texture — the squares, parks, boutiques and restaurants that make up daily life there.
You'll spend time on the streets of both old and new Tbilisi, taking in the architecture, and dip into museums, galleries and theatres along the way, including an open-air ethnographic museum. It's a slower, immersive way to get under the skin of a city that people usually rush through.
Two day trips round things out: Mtskheta, Georgia's old religious capital, and the Kakheti wine region, so you leave with a sense of what lies beyond the city as well.
