About this trip
Twenty-two days by train across the heart of Europe, from Berlin down to Rome, with a local leader steering you between cities and plenty of free time to explore each one at your own pace.
You'll take in the energy of Berlin, the old-world beauty of Prague, and the buzz of Budapest, before slowing down for Vienna's grand architecture, Salzburg's storybook streets, and Ljubljana's castle and medieval core.
The route finishes on a high with Venice's canals, the clifftop villages of Cinque Terre, and Rome's piazzas — a long, varied journey through some of the continent's most-loved cities.

- Summer heat can pass 40°C and many hotels have no air conditioning, so plan for warm nights
