About this trip
Twenty days across Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia, three countries that don't always make it onto the well-worn routes. You'll travel with a local leader from the Caspian Sea to the Caucasus mountains, through Old Towns, monasteries and cities with skylines that mix Soviet blocks with new glass towers.
The pace shifts between capital cities, small villages, wineries and open countryside, with home-cooked meals and a night in a lake cottage that supports a local NGO. There's also walking involved — you'll hike out to isolated monasteries and up to the Gergeti Trinity Church, so it's not purely a bus-window trip.
This itinerary is built from two linked trips, so somewhere along the way your group and leader may change over.
