About this trip
This is a 48-day overland journey from Kenya down to Cape Town, covering an enormous stretch of East and Southern Africa by purpose-built truck. You'll move through savanna, mountains, desert and coastline, camping most nights as part of a group.
It's a participatory trip, so you pitch your own tent, take turns on camp chores, and sometimes rough it in the bush with no facilities. In exchange you get proper access to wild places, including nights camped in the Serengeti with nothing between you and the animals but a briefing on how to behave.
Expect long travel days, early starts for game viewing or to beat traffic, and a schedule that bends to weather and roads. It's as much about the journey between places as the places themselves.
