About this trip
Two days out of Istanbul covering two very different pieces of history: the WWI battlefields of Gallipoli and the ancient city of Troy.
Day one is spent at Gallipoli, walking the ground where the April 1915 landings and battles took place, with a guide talking you through what happened at each site. You overnight in Çanakkale in 4-star accommodation before heading to Troy the next morning.
Day two is given over to the archaeology of Troy, with your guide explaining the layers of the site and the stories behind the Trojan War, including the horse.
