About this trip
Thirteen days across three Central Asian countries, tracing the old Silk Road through Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Tajikistan. You move from the blue-tiled madrasahs of Samarkand and Bukhara to the open desert around the Darvaza Gas Crater, then up into the Pamir Mountains and their alpine lakes.
It's a small group of up to 16, staying in 4-star hotels with your own room, and a guide with you throughout. The pace covers a lot of ground and a lot of history, but the logistics — trains, transport, meals, entry fees — are handled for you.
