About this trip
Nineteen days across five Central Asian countries — Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan — following stretches of the old Silk Road. You move between blue-domed cities, working bazaars, desert stretches, and alpine lakes, with a small group capped at 16 people.
The route takes in Samarkand's architecture and on to the Pamir Mountains, mixing nomadic traditions with the layered Soviet-era history still visible across the region. It's a broad sweep rather than a deep dive into any one country, built for people curious about a part of the world most itineraries skip.
Hotels are 4-star with private rooms throughout, and a guide travels with you the whole way. Meals, transport (including bullet trains between some legs), admission fees, and accommodation are all included.
