About this trip
Five days of cycling through the Mekong Delta, following the river from Phnom Penh across the border into Vietnam and on towards Saigon. You ride mostly on small paths, single tracks and quiet rural trails rather than main roads, through fishing villages, rice paddies and fruit orchards.
A boat crossing takes you from Cambodia into Vietnam at Chau Doc, giving you a break from the saddle and a different view of the river, with fish farms and villages along the banks. From there the route runs through flooded forest, rice country and orchard land before reaching the city.
It's an easy-paced, fully guided ride with a local team, suited to anyone who wants to see the delta up close rather than from a bus window.
