About this trip
Five days from Marrakech to Merzouga and on to Fes, covering the ground between the High Atlas Mountains and the dunes of the Sahara. It's a fast-moving route through mountain passes, gorges, oases and old desert settlements, with a night in the dunes as the centrepiece.
Expect a mix of landscape and city: kasbahs and Berber villages on the way out, camel riding and a desert sunset at Erg Chebbi, then the medinas and souks of Fes before finishing towards Casablanca. It's guided throughout, so the logistics of covering this much ground in five days are taken care of.
