About this trip
Three countries in fifteen days, moving from Swiss mountains to Greek islands by train and plane. You start in Zurich, then roll through Milan and Venice by rail before settling into Rome for a proper look at its ancient core.
From there it's a flight south to Santorini for sunset views over the caldera and black sand beaches, finishing in Athens with the Acropolis and the ruins beneath it.
It's an easy-paced, partially guided route with local guides for the main sights and hotels booked centrally in each city, so the logistics are handled while you focus on seeing the places.
What you'll do
- Gondola ride along Venice's canals
- Colosseum, Vatican Museums and Trevi Fountain in Rome
- Santorini sunsets over the caldera and time on its black sand beaches
- Parthenon and the Acropolis ruins in Athens
- Scenic train travel linking Zurich, Milan and Venice
- Covers three countries in fifteen days, so you're changing base regularly
- Rated easy, with local guides for main sightseeing rather than a single tour leader throughout
- Suits families and groups happy with a structured, well-organised route rather than free-form travel
