About this trip
Seven days across northern Tanzania's big-name parks, tracking wildlife by jeep with time built in to actually take it in rather than rush between stops.
You'll cover Serengeti's open plains, Tarangire's baobab-dotted elephant country, and the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the densest concentrations of wildlife anywhere. There's also a soak at Chemka's natural spring near Moshi to unwind afterwards.
An optional Maasai village visit gives you a chance to learn about local life directly rather than just driving past.
What you'll do
- Track wildebeest, zebra and the Big Five across the Serengeti plains
- Spot large elephant herds among the baobabs in Tarangire National Park
- Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site dense with lions, elephants and hippos
- Optional visit to a Maasai village to learn about traditional life
- Swim in the clear waters of Chemka Hot Spring near Moshi
- Wildlife-viewing days are jeep-based, expect early starts and long game drives
- The Maasai village visit is optional, not a fixed part of the itinerary
- Suits travellers who want a classic safari circuit without extra frills
