About this trip
This is a classic first-timer's route through India, covering Delhi, Agra and Jaipur, the three cities that make up the Golden Triangle, with an added stop in Ranthambore National Park to look for tigers.
You'll take in some of the country's most significant monuments, including the Taj Mahal, alongside forts, palaces and old city bazaars, staying in 4-star hotels throughout.
The safari element adds a different pace to the trip, a chance to sit quietly in a reserve that's home to the endangered Royal Bengal Tiger, rather than moving between monuments.
What you'll do
- See the Taj Mahal in Agra
- Explore the forts and palaces of Jaipur
- Go on safari in Ranthambore National Park in search of Royal Bengal Tigers
- Wander Delhi's historic sites and old city streets
- Visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites across all three cities
- Available as a group tour or private departure, so you can choose your pace and company
- Ranthambore's zones 1-5 are closed from July to 30th September, which may affect safari routing if you travel then
- Fully guided throughout, so logistics and monument visits are handled for you
Worth it if you want iconic landmarks plus genuine wildlife in one trip with seamless logistics. Think twice if you need guaranteed tiger sightings or prefer larger group dynamics.
- Tiger safari at Ranthambore genuinely memorable; combines Taj Mahal sunrise with forest wildlife in one itinerary.
- Guides consistently knowledgeable and personable; driver Anand and Jaipur's first female guide particularly standout professionals.
- Private tour setup allows flexibility day-to-day, though some prefer group energy; hotels and transfers punctual throughout.
- Eight days tight for destinations; some travellers wished extending stay by several more days in Ranthambore.
