How booking works

How booking works — and who takes your money.

When you find a trip here you don't pay us — you book it securely on TourRadar, and the operator runs it. Three parties, clear roles. Here's exactly how that works, what it costs (the same as going direct), and how booking via us compares to booking the operator directly.

18-35 Travel — find & compare
We surface real small-group trips for 18–35s and rank them on fit, with honest reviews, live prices and price history. We don't sell trips or take payment.
TourRadar — secure checkout
You complete your booking on TourRadar, an established tour-booking marketplace. They take payment, send your confirmation and handle booking support.
The operator — runs your trip
Intrepid, G Adventures, TruTravels and the rest run the actual trip on the ground and set the cancellation terms you agree at checkout.
No fee, no markup. You pay TourRadar's live price — exactly what you'd pay booking direct. We earn a partner commission from TourRadar, never from you.
Ranked on fit, not commission. Because we earn the same whichever trip you pick, nothing here is pay-to-rank — best-match trips always show first, and anything sponsored is labelled.
Wondering if TourRadar is trustworthy— is it a scam, is your money safe, what do the reviews say? That's a different question. We answer it in full in our honest look at TourRadar.Read it →

Good to know

Who do I actually book and pay with?

You compare trips here, then book and pay on TourRadar — an established tour-booking marketplace. The operator you picked (Intrepid, G Adventures, TruTravels and the like) runs the actual trip. Three parties, clear roles: we find and rank, TourRadar takes the booking and payment, the operator runs it.

Do I pay more by booking through 18-35 Travel?

No. You pay TourRadar's live price, exactly what you'd pay going direct to the operator. We never add a booking fee or a markup. We earn a partner commission from TourRadar — never from you.

Should I book direct with the operator or via TourRadar?

Either way you're booking the same operator-run trip at the same price. Booking the trip you found here means you also keep our honest ranking, the real-review Truth Layer and the price history that operator sites don't show you. Booking direct means the operator's own website. There's no price penalty either way — pick whichever you're comfortable with.

Who sends my confirmation and handles changes after I book?

TourRadar sends your confirmation and handles booking support; the operator runs the trip on the ground and owns the cancellation and change terms you agreed at checkout. Keep your TourRadar confirmation — it has everything you need.

Why does 18-35 Travel hand you off to TourRadar instead of taking the booking?

Because we're a comparison and matchmaking site, not a tour seller — we're deliberately never the merchant of record. It's what lets us rank trips on fit rather than on who pays us: we earn the same partner commission whichever trip you choose, so nobody can buy a higher spot here.
