About this trip
A short, easy-paced tour through Kathmandu's ancient sites and out to Nagarkot for sunrise over the Himalaya. It's built for a long weekend rather than deep exploration, and suits families or anyone wanting a first taste of Nepal without any trekking involved.
You start in Kathmandu, visiting temples and squares that carry centuries of history, before driving out to Nagarkot in time for sunset. The next morning you're up early for the payoff view: peaks including Everest, Manaslu and Gauri Shankar catching the first light.
It's sightseeing rather than adventure, with comfortable pacing throughout and no physical strain to speak of.
