About this trip
Three days in Chitwan National Park, one of the lowland jungle reserves in Nepal's Terai region, tracking wildlife by jeep, dugout canoe and on foot with a licensed guide.
This is a slower, ground-level contrast to the mountain scenery most people picture in Nepal — dense forest, riverbanks and a chance to spot species you won't see up in the Himalaya.
An easy-paced, family-friendly trip suited to Christmas or New Year travel, with guided activities mixed with time to simply be in the park.
What you'll do
- Jeep safari through Chitwan National Park
- Dugout canoe trip along the park's rivers
- Guided walking safari on foot with a licensed guide
- Spot crocodiles, gharials, deer and birdlife along the water and forest edges
- Short trip at 3 days, works well as an add-on rather than a standalone holiday
- Easy pace throughout, suitable for families
- Some activities are guided, others are more independent exploration
