About this trip
Four days on foot through the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, following the trail to Ciudad Perdida, the Lost City built by the Tayrona people centuries ago. You walk through dense jungle, cross rivers, and pass through indigenous territory still inhabited by descendants of the original builders.
The terrain is steep in places and the humidity is real, but the pace allows time to take in the surroundings rather than just push through them. Nights are spent in hammocks or basic bunks at camps along the route.
This is a trek for people who want the history and the physical challenge together — reaching the ruins on foot, after days of walking, is part of what makes them land.
