About this trip
Eleven days running the length of Vietnam, from Hanoi down to Ho Chi Minh City, taking in the country's big-hitters without rushing through them. You'll spend time in cities, mountains, and on the water, with the pace shifting from urban wandering to proper trekking.
Partially guided, so you get expert-led visits at the key sites — Trang An, Hue's Imperial City, the Cu Chi Tunnels — but also room to explore Hoi An's lanes or Hanoi's streets on your own terms.
It covers a lot of ground: karst waterways, misty rice terraces, imperial history, wartime tunnels, and the Mekong Delta all feature, so expect variety over any single deep focus.
What you'll do
- Cruise the limestone caves and waterways of Trang An after visiting Bai Dinh Pagoda
- Trek through Y Linh Ho, Lao Chai and Ta Van villages around Sapa
- Explore Hue's Imperial City and the Perfume River
- Wander Hoi An's old town and the Marble Mountains, with a boat trip through coconut forests
- Visit the Cu Chi Tunnels and drift through the Mekong Delta's floating markets
- Partially guided — some days are independent, others led by a local guide
- Includes a domestic flight and several overland transfers, so travel days are part of the rhythm
- Small group, capped at 20 travellers
