About this trip
This 18-day journey crosses four countries — Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan — each with a distinct feel, from Soviet-era cities to Silk Road trading posts.
You'll move between dramatic landscapes, like Charyn Canyon and the Kolsay and Kaindy Lakes, and historic city centres such as Samarkand and Bukhara with their turquoise-domed madrasahs. Along the way there's room for slower moments too, including tea with local families in Kyrgyz mountain villages.
It's a trip built around variety — mountains, cities, and history — with a mix of guided sections and free time to explore on your own.
