About this trip
This trip takes you through four countries in seventeen days, tracing the old Silk Road from the mountains of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan down into the ancient cities of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
You get a mix of landscapes and history — canyons and alpine lakes early on, then turquoise-domed madrasahs in Samarkand and Bukhara, and the quieter old towns of Istaravshan and Penjikent further along.
It's a personalized small-group trip with private rooms, so you're not stuck sharing accommodation, and the pace stays easy rather than rushed.
