About this trip
A private five-day drive from Fes to Marrakech that trades the cities for mountains, gorges and the dunes of Erg Chebbi. This is Morocco at ground level, with a small group in your own vehicle rather than tagging along with a busload of strangers.
You'll cross the Atlas Mountains, stop at kasbahs along the way, and walk through the palm groves of Skoura before the landscape opens into Dades and Todra Gorges. The desert stretch is the heart of it: a camel ride out to camp, dinner under the stars, and a night in the dunes with Berber hosts.
It's a route built for movement — mountains one day, gorges the next, dunes after that — so expect long drives between the good bits rather than time to settle anywhere.
