About this trip
A loop from Milan along the Italian and French Rivieras, taking in the harbour towns of Liguria before crossing into Monaco and the Côte d'Azur.
Days are built around a string of coastal excursions — Genoa, Portofino, Cinque Terre, Nice, Cannes — with a guide leading the way and free time built in to wander on your own.
It moves at a steady clip through two countries' worth of coastline, so expect more time in transit and on excursions than lingering in any one place.

- Free afternoon to explore Genoa at your own pace
- Coastal excursion to Rapallo, Portofino and Santa Margherita
- Boat trip to Portovenere and Cinque Terre (train if weather rules out the boat)
- Drive along Liguria's west coast through Varazze and Laigueglia
- Stops in Monaco and Nice, with day trips to Antibes and Saint Raphael
- Visits to Saint Paul de Vence, Grasse and Cannes
- Fast-paced — you change location most days across two countries
- The Cinque Terre leg goes by boat when weather allows, otherwise by train
- A few meals, including lunch stops, are at your own expense
