Casablanca → Marrakesh 15 days Up to 15

About this trip

A 15-day route through Morocco that covers the big imperial cities and gets you out into the mountains and desert as well, so you're not just doing medinas back to back.

You'll move through Rabat, Meknes, Fes and Marrakech, with stops in the High Atlas, Morocco's version of the Grand Canyon, and time in the Sahara. The trip winds up on the coast in Essaouira, a fortified port town with a slower pace after the cities and desert.

It's a fully guided group trip with private rooms, so you get your own space at the end of each day while someone else handles logistics.

What you'll do

  • Wander the medinas and souks of Rabat, Meknes, Fes and Marrakech
  • Cross the High Atlas mountains
  • See Morocco's Grand Canyon-style landscapes
  • Spend time in the Sahara desert
  • Unwind on the Atlantic coast in Essaouira
  • Sample mint tea and street food in the souks
Good to know
  • Moderate pace across a long route — expect a fair amount of driving between cities and desert
  • Covers a lot of ground in 15 days, from imperial cities to mountains to coast
  • Private rooms throughout, so no need to share
What travellers actually say

Worth it if you want genuine variety—mountains, desert, coast, cities—and intimate cultural moments. Think twice if you need comfort over experience.

  • Desert camp and camel rides consistently exceeded expectations, even in sandstorms.
  • Eating and staying with Berber families, plus guided medina walks, felt genuinely intimate.
  • Itinerary covers serious ground: Hassan II Mosque, Ait Benhaddou, Todra Gorge, Atlas passes, Essaouira.
  • Swimming in 'freezing cold pools' and basic glamping suggest comfort isn't prioritised here.
