About this trip
A week aboard a dhoni, the traditional Maldivian boat that becomes your floating base as you move between islands. This is a slower way to see the Maldives, with days built around sea, sand and sun rather than a packed itinerary.
Expect turquoise lagoons, quiet beaches and sandbars that sit somewhere between land and sea, with the boat itself part of the experience — sundeck lounging, seafood meals and time to get to know the rest of the group as you go.
What you'll do
- Cruise between islands aboard a traditional dhoni boat
- Visit isolated sandbars and turquoise lagoons
- Swim and relax on quiet Maldivian beaches
- Unwind on the boat's sundeck between stops
- Share seafood meals with the group each day
- Slow-paced by design — the boat is your base, so this suits travellers happy to sit still between stops rather than chase a busy schedule
- Private rooms are available if you'd rather not share
