About this trip
This trip stitches together two very different sides of India: the Golden Triangle's forts and cities in the north, then a slower run through Kerala's hills and backwaters in the south.
You start in Delhi and work through Agra, a tiger safari in Ranthambore and Jaipur, before flying down to Kochi for a change of pace through Munnar's tea country, Thekkady and the canals around Alleppey.
It's set up as a private, partially guided trip, so you get your own vehicle and guide rather than joining a fixed group, with room to relax rather than rush.
What you'll do
- See the Taj Mahal in Agra
- Go looking for tigers on safari in Ranthambore National Park
- Explore the forts and old city of Jaipur
- Wander the tea plantations around Munnar
- Spot wildlife and spice plantations in Thekkady
- Cruise the backwaters of Alleppey by houseboat
- Private and partially guided, so pace and stops can flex to suit you
- Covers two contrasting regions — expect a shift from dry northern cities to humid, green Kerala partway through
- Geared toward a relaxed pace and works well as a family trip
