About this trip

This is the classic Golden Triangle route, covering Delhi, Agra and Jaipur in five days. You'll take in the big-name monuments and forts that define this part of India, with a mix of guided sightseeing and free time.

The centrepiece is Agra's Taj Mahal, with a stop at the ruined Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri on the way to Jaipur. In Jaipur you get into the forts by elephant or jeep before the tour loops back to Delhi.

It's an easy-paced, partially guided trip, well suited to families or anyone wanting a solid introduction to India's history without organising the logistics themselves.

What you'll do

  • Explore Delhi's major monuments
  • See the Taj Mahal in Agra
  • Stop at the abandoned city of Fatehpur Sikri
  • Ride an elephant or jeep up to a Jaipur fort
  • Visit Jaipur's forts and palaces
  • Finish back in Delhi
Good to know
  • Partially guided, so some sightseeing is at your own pace
  • A fair amount of driving between the three cities in five days
  • Suits families and first-timers wanting the headline sights
