About this trip
This is a self-guided route through northern Argentina, built for people who have either done Patagonia already or are travelling outside the summer season down south. Over 17 days you move through Buenos Aires, the Iguazu Falls, Salta and its surrounding highlands, and finish in Mendoza's wine country.
The pace lets you take in city life, waterfalls, high-altitude desert and vineyards in one route, with each stop bringing its own rhythm — walking and biking in Buenos Aires, adrenaline at Iguazu, cultural depth around Salta, and wine and mountains in Mendoza.
What you'll do
- Cycle through Buenos Aires with a local guide
- Take in a tango show over an Argentine dinner
- See Iguazu Falls from the Brazilian side, close enough to feel the spray
- Ride the fast boat up to the falls from the lower Iguazu River
- Travel from Salta up through the jungle to the high desert and salt flats
- Walk through the Humahuaca Gorge and learn about Mendoza's wine production
- Self-guided — you travel independently rather than as part of a led group
