Madagascar Lemurs & Baobabs (Available all year)

This trip moves through some of Madagascar's most distinct landscapes, from the rainforest of Andasibe-Mantadia to the dry forests of the west, with wildlife the focus throughout.

You'll spend time in Andasibe-Mantadia National Park, one of the country's best spots for lemurs, before heading to the surreal Baobab Avenue and on to Kirindy Forest, a rare stretch of primary dry forest known for fossa sightings.

It's a wildlife-led route across the island, covering rainforest, dry forest and open savannah landscapes in one trip.

What you'll do

• Track lemurs in Andasibe-Mantadia National Park, including the indri and, if you're lucky, the aye-aye
• Join guided walks through Analamazoatra Special Reserve and Mantadia National Park
• Stand among the centuries-old baobabs of Baobab Avenue
• Spot habituated fossas around the ecolodge in Kirindy Forest
• Take a night walk in Kirindy to look for nocturnal species like the Madame Berthe's mouse lemur and giant jumping rat
• Look out for reptiles, amphibians and birds across the parks, including orchids in bloom (September to January)
