About this trip
Nine days through Bolivia's high desert and into Chile, travelling by 4WD across some of the most extreme landscapes in South America. You go from La Paz, over 3,600m up, out across the Uyuni Salt Flats and into the Atacama, one of the driest places on Earth.
This is a trip built around landscape — salt pans, geysers, flamingo lagoons, lunar valleys — with a local leader guiding you through it and explaining the history and geology as you go.
Expect long drives, high altitude, and basic comforts in exchange for scenery that most people never see.
What you'll do
- Ride the teleferico cable car over La Paz
- Cross the Uyuni Salt Flats by 4WD

- Nights get very cold and plans in Uyuni can change without notice, so pack warm and stay flexible
