About this trip
This is a 22-day overland journey from Johannesburg to Cape Town, tracing South Africa's coastal route with a local leader and a small group in a purpose-built truck.
You'll go looking for wildlife on game drives in Kruger National Park, spend time in the wetlands around St Lucia, meet Xhosa communities in Cintsa, and finish with two nights in Cape Town after driving through the Wild Coast's vineyards and cliffs.
It's a hands-on style of travel — you pitch your own tent, help with camp life, and take the rough with the smooth, including some long days on the road between stops.
