About this trip
Fourteen days from Buenos Aires to Rio, cutting across Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil with a small group and a local leader. It's a trip built around contrasts — the pace of Buenos Aires, the quiet of a Uruguayan farm, the power of Iguazu Falls, and the beaches and buzz of Rio at the end.
You'll spend two nights on an estancia in Uruguay, where horse riding and doing not much at all are both on the table, before heading to Iguazu to take in the falls up close. The route also takes in Colonia del Sacramento and Montevideo's Mercado del Puerto along the way.
Expect some long travel days, including an overnight bus, as part of getting between these places. It's the kind of stretch where you get to know your group properly, before the final beach stop on Ilha Grande and arrival in Rio.
