About this trip
This is a walking trip along Rwanda's Congo Nile Trail, the route that runs the length of Lake Kivu between Rubavu and Rusizi. Over 7 days you cover a stretch of the full 227km trail on foot, through hills, forest, tea and coffee plantations, and the villages that line the way.
It's a private, fully guided trip, so the route and pace can be shaped around what you want to cover and how much walking you're up for. Expect a mix of village life, birdsong, and genuinely hilly terrain rather than a flat stroll.
