About this trip
Kathmandu's traffic and noise are left behind quickly on this four-day cycling route through the valley's hill country. You ride out to Kakani and Nagarkot, two quiet hilltop spots known for their views over the Langtang and Ganesh Himal ranges, following forest tracks and village roads rather than main highways.
The riding is mixed with genuine cultural contact — Tamang and Newar villages, roadside temples, and stops for tea where locals are happy to talk. It's less about distance covered and more about seeing the valley at a slower pace than a car or bus allows.
Covering roughly 25 to 50 km a day, the tour is built to suit a range of riding abilities, with a support team along the way.
