About this trip
This nine-day trip loops out from Marrakech and back, taking in Morocco's mountains, desert and coast along the way. You start in the red city itself, with time in its souks, before heading over the High Atlas to the UNESCO site of Ait Benhaddou and on to a Berber camp in the Erg Chebbi dunes.
From there the route runs north through the old imperial cities: Fes with its tanneries and tangled medina lanes, the blue-washed streets of Chefchaouen below the Rif mountains, the capital Rabat, and Casablanca, where the Hassan II Mosque sits right on the Atlantic. The tour ends back in Marrakech.
It's a fully guided group trip with an easy pace and your own private room throughout, so you're covering a lot of ground but not roughing it.
