About this trip
This private trip pairs two very different sides of India: the forts and wildlife of Rajasthan in the north, and the backwaters and beaches of Kerala in the south. You travel by plane, train, car and houseboat, so the pace and scenery keep shifting.
It starts in Delhi and Agra, heads into Ranthambore for tiger territory, then on to Jaipur for its palaces and forts. From there you fly south to Cochin, swapping desert forts for coconut palms, spice country and a slow cruise through Kerala's backwaters, finishing with time to unwind on Kovalam beach.
As a private, partially guided tour, it suits families or small groups who want the sights covered but some flexibility built in, rather than a fixed daily schedule shared with strangers.
