About this trip
Seven days on the road covering four of Kenya's best-known wildlife areas: Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, the Naivasha area and Amboseli. It is a budget group safari, done by jeep and 4WD, built around game drives rather than downtime.
Expect big skies and bigger wildlife lists — lions, elephants, zebras, rhinos, flamingos and, depending on timing, the wildebeest migration crossing the Mara's plains. You also get a change of pace at Hell's Gate, where the landscape of cliffs and geothermal steam lends itself to cycling and walking rather than just driving.
Amboseli closes things out, with Kilimanjaro as a backdrop and some of the best elephant viewing in Africa, plus a chance to visit a Maasai community living near the park.
