About this trip
Four days in Kenya built around two of its best-known parks, covering the Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru by jeep with a local driver-guide.
In the Mara you get a full day of game drives across open grassland where wildebeest, zebra and other grazers move in their thousands during migration season. Lake Nakuru follows, known for its birdlife and as one of the more reliable places to see both white and black rhino.
There's an optional night added on to stay in a Masai village, if you want a slower, more community-based side to the trip alongside the wildlife driving.
What you'll do
- Full day game drives across the Masai Mara
- Watch the wildebeest and zebra migration (seasonal)
- Explore Lake Nakuru National Park
- Look for both white and black rhino
- Optional overnight stay in a Masai village
- Short trip focused on two parks rather than a wider Kenya circuit
- Wildebeest migration timing is seasonal, so what you see depends on when you travel
- The Masai village night is an optional add-on, not standard
Worth it if you want genuine wildlife encounters with solid guides and flexible logistics. Think twice if budget lodging and language-specific services matter to you.
- Game drives consistently deliver: lions, cheetahs, elephants, rhinos, flamingos, even great migration sightings.
- Guides like Solomon and Jimmy are genuinely knowledgeable, alert spotters who go beyond—arranging boat rides, sorting airport transport when drivers fail.
- Lodging inconsistencies: some guests didn't receive promised accommodation; food adequate but not special in standard options.
- Upgrading to premium lodges (Jambo Mara, Lake Nakuru Lodge) costs extra but lands you inside parks with first-rate service and better food.
