About this trip
Fourteen days across all five Central Asian republics — Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan — following stretches of the old Silk Road through cities and landscapes that share a common history but feel distinct from one another.
This is a private, partially guided trip, so you move at an easy pace with a guide arranged around your group rather than a fixed public schedule. It suits families or those who'd rather see the region on their own terms.
Expect a mix of UNESCO-listed old towns, desert and mountain scenery, and traditional food, with the contrasts between the five countries as much a part of the trip as any single sight.
