About this trip
Fifteen days covering a genuinely wide slice of Ecuador, from Andean volcanoes and highland lagoons to the Pacific coast. You start in Quito's historic centre and work your way south and west, mixing landscapes, food, and local communities as you go.
Expect volcano views around Cotopaxi and the turquoise Quilotoa lagoon, a stop in Baños for some adventure and relaxation, and a high-altitude visit to Chimborazo. Further on you'll take in an Inca Trail archaeological site, the markets of Cuenca, and a cacao hacienda before heading to the coast for Isla de la Plata and Machalilla National Park.
Along the way there's time with the Tsachila community, a look at high-altitude coffee production, and birdwatching in a protected reserve. It's a group trip built around variety — altitude changes, coastline, and cultural stops all in one itinerary.
