About this trip
Ten days across Uzbekistan's great Silk Road cities: Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva. These were once caravanserai stops on the long trade routes east, and the architecture still shows what came out of that wealth and exchange — mosques, madrasas and mausoleums built by rulers, scientists and craftsmen over centuries.
This is a slower-paced cultural trip rather than a physical one, moving between cities to take in history and architecture at a relaxed pace, with private rooms throughout.
