About this trip
Thirteen days across two countries, moving from the temples and traffic of Bangkok to the hills of northern Vietnam. It's a trip built around contrast — cities, mountains, and water all get their turn.
You start in Thailand with time in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, including a visit to spend time with elephants, before crossing into Vietnam for Hanoi, the mountain town of Sapa, and a stop at Halong Bay.
The pace is mixed rather than packed — enough movement to see plenty, with room built in to slow down and take it in.
