About this trip
A short, guided route across Turkmenistan, taking you from the capital Ashgabat out to the Darvaza gas crater and on to the historic city of Khiva in Uzbekistan's Shavat district.
Three days is enough to see the contrast between Ashgabat's marble-clad modern architecture, the stark desert around Darvaza, and the old Silk Road city of Khiva.
This is a small-group tour with a private room included, run at a moderate pace with a guide throughout, so you're not left to sort logistics or visas yourself.
