About this trip
Two days on the road between Melbourne and Adelaide, taking in some of the best coastal and mountain scenery in the country. You will not be rushing between two cities so much as stopping constantly for the views.
The first day runs along the Great Ocean Road, with its limestone stacks and shipwreck coast, before a night in Halls Gap at the foot of the Grampians. The second day is spent walking among ancient rock formations, waterfalls, and lookouts before continuing on to Adelaide.
It is guided throughout, with a small group and a private room each night, so you get the road trip without the logistics.
What you'll do
- Drive the Great Ocean Road and stop at the Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge
- Walk through Great Otway National Park at Melba Gully or Maits Rest

- Walk the bushwalking trails of Grampians National Park

- A lot of ground is covered in two days, so expect several driving legs with stops rather than long stays in any one place
